The tragic incident occurred outside a busy driver’s licensing office on Willismore Drive, where three people, including Valdes, were fatally shot. Authorities responded to distressing reports of gunfire around noon, only to find a man dead in the parking lot and two women critically injured. Despite urgent medical efforts, both women died from their injuries at the University of Louisville Hospital, leaving the city shocked.
Valdes, remembered for her vibrant presence and warm spirit, was one of the tragically killed victims. Friends and family have used social media to express their grief, sharing heartfelt tributes and memories of her kindness. “She was always so full of life,” one friend remarked. “This is heartbreaking beyond words.”
