Louisville, Kentucky – The Louisville community is mourning the loss of Raysa Pacios Valdes, 29, who was one of three people tragically killed in a shooting outside a Driver Licensing Regional Office in Valley Station on February 21, 2025.
Raysa, along with two others, were critically injured in the incident, which occurred around noon Friday. Despite efforts to save her, she died shortly after arriving at UofL Hospital.
Raysa, 33-year-old Antwanette Chillers, and 18-year-old Leslye Harbin Jr. are the victims, according to authorities.
Raysa’s death has devastated her friends, family, and the Louisville community. Those who knew her described her as a caring, loving person with a bright future ahead. Social media posts and comments have flooded in, with one friend writing, “Raysa was always there with a smile, and her kindness will be missed.”
