Virginia’s Chesapeake: Madelyn Lowe, a beloved mother, wife, and hairstylist who sadly passed away on February 20, 2025, following a sledding accident, is being mourned in the Chesapeake community.
What should have been a happy day in the snow become an unanticipated tragedy causing Madelyn great injuries. She sadly passed away from her injuries, despite the relentless efforts of medical professionals; she left behind friends, a family, and a whole community that loved her presence.
Madelyn was renowned for her bright personality and the cohesiveness she brought into every space. She laughed brilliantly, had a good heart, and clearly loved life. Being a gifted hairstylist at Citrine Hair & Skin Collective, she possessed a special ability to make others feel beautiful not only by her work but also by her inspirational attitude.
Her family brought her most happiness outside of her work. She and her husband, Brandon, welcomed Blakely, their daughter, into the world in May 2020. Madelyn loved every moment she spent with her small daughter and embraced motherhood with unflinching love and loyalty. She was an indispensible presence in the life of many since her love included all those around her.
Over social media, tributes have come in expressing the great grief experienced by those who knew her. Remembering their early years together, Victoria Dobson said, “Madelyn & I were as little girls, but in our adult years we were not very close. Then one day we both started families. Seeing your name made my jaw drop. Rest in peace; your soul is absolutely beautiful.
Brooklynne Burden, another friend, wrote, “On February 20th, tragedy struck this wonderful family. She is sorely missed. Please set aside some time to pray for Brandon, Blakely, and the whole family.
Madelyn’s death leaves her loved ones in an almost incomprehensible vacuum. Her husband Brandon, their daughter Blakely, her parents Lynne and Jimmy Lowe, her in-laws Pattie and Robbie Perdue, and an extended family and close group of friends who will always carry her memory close survive her.
The community keeps coming together for her bereaved family to show love and encouragement during this trying period. Memorial service specifics will be revealed at a later date.
